Bench test ---tii fuel pump

The electric fuel pump started. Couple of love taps with the screw driver handle and well maybe not 100%.....

The pump is turning over intermittently....Stop go etc...Instead of a constant buzzing it's more like someone tap dancing in the trunk ;o)

Any suggestions?

Buy a rebuild

or buy new at a dealer/other vendor or install one of the alternatives discussed on this board.

and don't waste any more time that pump.

Check the power supply. Just know if you deviate from stock you're most likely decreasing the value of the car.

It's been my experience that those type of fuel pumps take VERY little dry running before they are toast.
