SOT tar and gravel...

Today they re-surfaced our asphalt road (7/10 mile development) with the tar and gravel deal. Oh boy. Question is this; I've seen the temporary plastic stuff on new cars, and wondering about a source of something to use on rockers, and fender/quarters until the stuff settles in/cools off. I'll probably use some wide painters tape until I can find something. I know you can buy clear stuff at Auto Zone, etc but I'm looking for a somewhat temporary film that wont leave goop after a month or so. Yes, Delia, et.al., I should have bought some mud flaps, but I also have a coupe and a 325, so I need something for the fleet. Ideas? Dave V. in NC

I have used a 3M product called peel coat with a low tack adhesive...the stuff you peel off appliance and such. I use it to seal the cockpit of my kayaks when I am not using them as it keeps rain and critter out. You can buy the stuff in various widths, I have 4 foot wide rolls.
