brake light bulbs (roundie)

Recommended Posts

Anyone else find that the recomended 1156 bulbs for the brake light are too small to fit snugly in their holder? They wiggle around and don't make constant contact.

I just went to replace mine as it burnt out and found that the PO had actually used shims of tinfoil to take up the slack.

Is there some kind of sleeve that i am missing or anything?

suggest you use euro bulbs instead anyway -- BMW p/n 07-50-9-063-574 or the generic OSRAM-Sylvania equivalent.

Maybe the bulb is loose because the spring contact on the base is stretched?

Say, are youse guys interested in a group buy of bulb kits, say one each of all the exterior bulbs and maybe a few spares?
