What type of fastener is used at the rear of under steering column pad?

I had mine off when I was installing the blinker switch you sold me and I believe there were some screws that looked like the ones at the other end but may have been longer. Flatheaded screws. I can look tomorrow and see if you don't get a better answer.

just long screws...mine were rusty and i replaced them with some common phillips head, sheetmetal screws from home depot

Mike's an expert on these sort of things, but the original ones on my wife's ' 76 are chrome. Maybe by March of ' 76 they were out of black ones.

The retaining holes seem to be directly under the switches. The lower column cover that the pad mounts to is not threaded, and it looks like the cover must be installed before the pad, so preassembling with nuts won't work. It's as if there is a missing bracket under the switches. Andy are you useing one of these pads? I don't use them.
