Scam Alert “member” Yuujrt65

Recommended Posts

Recently I made a post asking for a part and a “supposed FAQ member” Yuujrt65 reply to my post telling me that a friend of him had the part. Supposed friend was “theresa09”.

Yuujrt65 gave me his friend email and I started a conversation with him out of the group. He ask for $25 for the part including shipping to PR.

I sent the money. After few days asking him if he sent the item,  he told that the shipping cost was more so he ask for extra $25  to cover the shipping.

I sent the money.

Now he is not asking and “supposed faq member Yuujrt65” is missing in action and erase all messages.

Aaah the interweb, good for a few things but great for fraud and pornography!

seems like a big effort for $25, but hey free money is free money. He/they could have maybe scammed more in practice to warrant the effort. Perhaps it was a test "fish".

Seems like some of these tech "genius game changing disruptor Steve Jobs wanna-bees" could create a universal third party  transaction hub-like a Paypal, but verifies and holds it's users (buyers & sellers) fully accountable.   If it worked of course no one  legit would use it so there you go, a losing proposition.

But again, see tagline below.

But what do I know

That user was banned at the start of the year because of suspicious activity abd thus all messages were deleted. That username is gone, but there will be others with similar posts.

We prevent about 99% of bad actors, but some get through. Thus the warning in the classifieds section.

Loose: Not tightly bound. Subject to motion.
Lose: What happens when you are spell check dependent.

1975 Malaga. It is rusty and  springs an occasional leak.  Just like me.
