Quick question on B Pillar Trim Install

Do I need to install the seals prior to riveting these in place??

Pop rivet trim in first, then install the seals.

Thank you. I thought so but didn’t want to do that and then have to remove them to install the seals.

Not sure if you are actually mounting those moldings the way you have them shown in your picture but the lower horizontal molding is supposed to overlap the vertical b pillar molding at the base area.

LOL, I actually mounted the horizontal trim and quickly realized I messed up. Had to drill the rivets out and got it fixed.

Since you have the car down to the shell it’s easy to get the drilled rivets out.  If you drill out the unwanted rivets, does the broken river falls into the car somewhere unretrievable?

they fall behind the rear door panels, but don’t fall out unless you drill all the way through. I drilled the heads of the rivets off then suck my hand under and used a punch to push them out.
