My NK 2000 is now on BaT - DID NOT SELL

Recommended Posts

Well, it’s a sad but happy day. I really don’t think Victoria BC is a good place for me to keep the car so I’m letting it go ...

Good luck with your auction, I will put in a good word.  All 67 2000 I have seen have the 2000 in center on the trunk lid and they had dimpled nose trim I thought?

Thanks. I thought only the automatics had the trunk lid 2000 but dunno.

My car likely had the dimpled nose trim originally but it was long gone when I bought the car. I was never able to find an NOS example to replace it with.

So the buyer flaked?  The BAT site still indicates it as being sold, incl the comments section.  I've always wondered about the percentage of auction winners who don't follow-through.  Yes they get banned, etc., but it's not always apparent when revisiting the listing.

Let’s just say that it was no one’s fault, but there was no way I’d have let the car go for so little.

i suspect that it was a bad idea to try to sell the car via an American auction. Perhaps owing to the coronavirus and a general lack of knowledge about import requirements to get a car back into the States, the car sat for six days until the auction’s end without a single bid, something I’ve never seen on BaT.

And more puzzling, the auction while ongoing  received very few comments. I’m happy to keep driving my NK for a while longer. She runs great and the summer weather here in BC is gorgeous.
