Early Bmw 1600 1967 rear subframe bushes

If you're referring to the large rubber bushing that is placed vertically between subframe and body, my factory parts book shows a single part number--33 33 1 103 926--for that bushing for the following models with a couple of exceptions--1602/1602ti/2002/2002ti and US 2002 up to VIN 1664750.  That's the changeover from longneck to shortneck diffs on US cars and probably the others mentioned.     

 

All other models--and apparently this means cars with shortneck diffs use two different part numbers for this bushing:    33 33 1 113 342 (left side) and 33 33 1 113 343 (right).   So for your 1600 it's gonna depend on whether it's a short or long neck diff.  And if it's a '67, it should have a long neck diff unless someone has swapped diffs and thus the rear subframes.

Those  bushings for the trailing arms are different. They're cased in metal as opposed to just being rubber. 

 

Steve at Blunttech ( @BLUNT ) was able to hook me up with a set no problem a few years back. I'm sure either he or @wegweiser could get a set on the way to you. 

 

 

Off topic, but what's your vin? always excited to locate another 67!

Hi mate,

 

When you google that part number for the long diff bushings -33 33 1 103 926- as per Mikes suggestion, they definitely look cased in metal. 
 

VIN is 1550298. Only few RHD were made that year I believe. Australian delivery. 

Still drives like a dream ?

They all are, both the long neck and short neck versions.  The difficulty in replacing is the long bolt that goes through the bushing.  It rusts in place and makes removal very difficult--unless you're in a really dry climate.  Then it's merely difficult.

 

BTW, your Aussie 1602 is the 297th RHD one built--VINs begin with 1550001.

Will likely take to work shop but some time ago I changed one on my brothers 2002 73’ wasn’t too hard. But that’s probably 15yo ago. 
 

It’s a 1600 not 1602. And thank you for info. Such and early RHD. No. 298! Wow. Bought this off first owner when I was 18yo. Now in the mid 40s :). 
 

So just to confirm, for this chassis it’s long diff and part 33 33 1 103 926
