Light Bulb for Euro License Light

I need to find the correct size, label for the 12v 3w light bulb for the Euro License Lights.  The parts sources only provide the BMW part #, so I need the street equivalent.

The bulb is what the Europeans charmingly call a "festoon" bulb.  It's tubular--looks like a old-fashioned glass fuse as used on US cars back in the 50s and 60s.  Take your old one down to your local auto parts emporium and you should easily find one, as they're commonly used on current US and European cars.  They come in different lengths, that's why I suggest taking the old one, or at least a measurement between the two bulb contacts in the housing.
