Description:

Reluctantly selling my '73tii.  I've had the BMW for, almost, 9 years & have put a lot of $$$s into it.

Unfortunately I cannot afford the cost of repairing some serious structural rust issues.  The driver's

side front frame-rail is badly rusted.  I purchased the 'tii' sight-unseen & didn't ask the right questions.

The 'rust issue' was unknown to me until recently, so I had it shipped from Northern California w/out

knowing what I was getting(totally my fault) in to. That's the 'down-side'.

Now for the 'up-side':

The '02tii is matching numbers & has been upgraded w/a 5 speed transmission from a BMW 320. The

'upgrade' was done by the previous owner, so I don't know what year the transmission is. He also moved the

battery to the trunk(boot).  Both engine & transmission are very good/strong. I installed new carpeting & aside from

cracks in the dash-top & the headliner in only fair-to-poor condition the interior is in decent shape.  The sun-roof

works properly & I'm including new 'felt-surround'. I'm also suppling the 'chrome-like' windshield & rear window

piping(locking tubing?).  Plus a couple boxes of additional parts. Ireland Engineering header & distributor installed,

a couple of years ago, also alternator was replaced & radiator 're-habbed'. Head gasket replaced & head-work done

a few years ago. Various other parts were replaced as needed.

The BMW is painted a rare color: "Turkis", it's the original color but not the original paint...the paint is in lousy

shape.  The car sat out in the 'dreaded' So. Florida sun at a repair shop for 3+ months awaiting parts, the

paint "cooked" & has bubbled-up in a few places.  I sanded & premiered the roof so it looks terrible.

There is a lot more I could say but this description is already too long...I can say my "roundie tii" is a perfect

candidate for a restoration!  I only wish I had the knowledge & $$$s to do it myself.

If I can, I'll answer what ever questions you may have.

Regards
