Folks,

Having the interior redone in my 1970 2002 ti, just wondering where to source vinyl (brown, I believe its called tobacco or saddle).

I need both the smooth and textured vinyl, if anyone has a source for material or has some for sale please let me know.

I have the same interior on my '69--and my '73 has what appears to be the same material, but the colors and textures are slightly different.  I haven't been able to find an exact match for the patterned vinyl used in the centers of the seats.  Mercedes-Benz uses a similar material (called "MB Tex") as does Porsche but it's only close and will be obviously different if you only re-do one seat.

The vinyl used in roundies is incredibly durable--the primary problem is the driver's seat cushion splitting, and the back of the rear seat sun-rotting due to the clear glass used in the earlier cars.  If you only have a split driver's seat, for example, you might try finding a parts car with a rotted rear seat back.  Even with a bad top area, a rear seat back will provide more than enough material to repair your driver's seat cushion.

BTW if you do find some matching material, please post where you found it...
