Anyone Ever Purchase New Radiator from BMW?

Since my 71 1600s original radiator was sent off last July to the Big Silicon Garage in the Sky for a three row treatment, never to be seen again, I'm looking for replacement radiator options. My car is a stock, 47K mile, unrestored example, because of this, I'd like to stay true to the original specification radiator.

My question is this: does the current replacement radiator on offer from BMW Classic look exactly like the original radiators? PN: 17 11 1 115 755?

Is that radiator from http://www.wallothnesch.com the same length as a turbo radiator? It says for up to Turbo, but the stock photo and the description don't give measurement details.

Translating the description, using Google Translate comes out like this:

No mention of turbo in the description. If its turbo length or at least bigger than the E21, I'd be interested (if the original poster passes).

If you got a used 1600 radiator that needs to be rebuilt there is a great shop in Northern IL that did my radiator, heater core, and gas tank. I'm drawing a blank on the name, but if you are interested I can find out.

From what I understand: 17.11.1.115.755 is the later US Radiator that holds the shroud. The radiator that W&N or Jaymic sells does not accomodate the plastic shroud.

 

I bought the Part Number: 02CO.0101 Price: £156.63 from Jaymic 2 years ago. Shroud does not fit, and the mounting brackets are different.

Why do you need a bigger radiator? stock should cool a 1600 just fine in any conditions.
