3 piece dash from a 1968 US specs?

Hello,

I've bought an 1600-2 from 1968. I bought the car in Belgium, the guy who sold it to me has bouht it in de US. The car is US specs. I looks likes the dash is different to EU specs. Does somebody has a picture of a 3 piece US spec dash for me?

I'll post some pics when I've picked up the car.

i bought this dash here on the FAQ about 5 years ago along with the steering wheel, from a 68.

Then I have the right dash. The EU models have some chroom panels on the lowest part of the dash. It was the first time that I noticed the difference and was wondering if it was correct.

I prefer the EU version I will chang it if I can find a good one.

Yeah, the early US imported cars from the first imports till the end of 1967 did have the chrome lower dash until the US Department of Transportation (DOT, like the German TÜV) required padded dashboards starting with the '68 model year (I.E. cars produced after Jan. 1st 1968). So some early '68 model year '02s from Sept. '67 till Dec. 31st production still had chrome lower dashes. Whereas the European market cars kept the chrome lower dash until the two piece dashes came out for the "Model 71" cars in the middle of 1971.
