Im not sure on the license plate lights?? I found another picture of a 1600 with the same type lights. im not sure if it was an aftermarket thing or from the factory. ill look and see if the lights say anything on them.

My 1968 1600 VIN 1564660 has rear license plate lights like the one pictured in the flickr photo in the link above. They appear to be more rounded than square in shape.

It is my understanding that the change over from Euro bumpers to US bumpers occurred in Mid-67.

Well I felt like a little kid today!! I put new Plugs, new plug wires, change the ignitions points out, changed the oil and new fuel lines. I took a hose to a small gas can because I Still have to drain the gas tank, and attempted to crank her up. Well a couple of turns of the key, and she cranked right up and purred like a cat!!!! considering sitting for 20 years, I was amazed at how well the car ran and idled. I only let it run for a couple minutes, but she purrrred!!

Just being curious? I dont plan on selling this car, but can anyone give me an idea of what it is worth? I looked all over the internet and really cant find a value? you dont really see 1600's for sale.

Congrats! There is a strong market for clean early 1600s. I'm actually surprised at how many are out there, but they are still quite rare.

That's worth watching. Obviously, that car is quite a bit nicer than yours is today, but you could benchmark it in the future. Your Granada paint color probably gives it a little more value. FWIW, any modifications that can't easily be reversed will almost certainly reduce your 1600's value.

I'm really excited about your car... wish I was the one who found it! Keep us posted on the restoration efforts.

Wow. Very sad. What's the point of lying on an internet forum?

ha - not really done himself any favours as an honest seller! Still, hopefully a true enthusiast will pick her up.

??

sorry Clay - not replying to your comment, I view the site in flat view and forget sometimes that if you hit reply to a thread and you choose the wrong comment it can be misconstrued. I've reposted in the appropriate thread about the bloke flipping the car, despite saying he wasn't.

I just spent almost another $200.00 buying new brake lines. this car isnt going anywhere. sorry to get some people panties in wad.
