Looking pretty sweet. I'm getting burnt out on my Jeep build, so I switched back to my 02. I'm excited to have my wheels on the back and get to work the fenders. I just don't want to spend the time like you did and build the body to the fender lips. Looks the best that way though...

So last second choice on my part. Figured I might as well make the front clip/nose removable for when I do the engine swap and stuff. Almost got it done, going to finish it up in the morning

And yes I've looked at the mk1 flares, I think though they are too much flare for my wheels

What are the specs on your wheels?

Boxed and notched. The inside of the notch was welded also.

Ended up putting in a thick flange to connect to the existing bracket for the rear coil. I was going to just create a new bracket, but I had to utilize the angle of the bolt and mount it towards the center of the car to keep the shock from touching the wheel. Anyways some progress.... should be rigid once its finished.

Looks like you could use a bit more heat on the welds for the coilover support there. From the photo it looks like you could use some more penetration.

I was maxing out the little hobart. It gave its all and I went over with another bead on every edge. Just have to take it slow and hope it was enough. If not I'm going to bring it over to have them redone.
