  1. Of course I'd see the pump multiple times in the last year, and then when I decide I'm not going to use it and sell it it is no where to be found…..I'll post up when I find the damn thing.
  2. Checked pistons, ring lands NOT pinched. Looked for the pump, and it wasn't where I thought it was. I'll find it today though.
  3. Pretty sure the ring lands were not pinched. I'll dig the stuff out tomorrow and check.
  4. Got a new pump! $200 shipped Paeco pistons 10:1 0.040 over bore, all pistons have some scoring & need rings, ring lands NOT pinched. $100 Need to sell this stuff, accepting offers.
  5. I would like to, but currently it is not… After all the work I did on vehicles this summer and past winter I'm not even sure I want to do the swap anymore. So I'm looking for another classic instead, thinking 914. I see you have an s52…I would love to have that setup.
  6. I had to chop up on the rear fenders quite a bit. These would be very nice with turbo flares.
  7. SOLD Just put these together last winter, 7" (with 1" lip) and 9" (with 3" lip) wide. All bolts new half spike half regular, powder coated faces, good tires. Really good condition and no air leaks. 1600 miles. Would be stellar with turbo flares. Some rubbing marks on tires. These are 4x100 redrills. Likely 4x114 nissans stock. But the redrills are done very well.. 205-50-15 up front 225-50-15 out back $1500 or some sort of trade for 5x120 wheels or bmw 6 cylinder of some sort, for my e36 compact. 218 428 5895 all bbs caps are on, even if not in some pics
  8. Got my order from Speedhut today! GPS based speedo, tach, and fuel gauge. I wasn't going to put them in, but one thing led to another….. This is why I wasn't going to do it today, unacceptable. 3 new gauges gutted the old cluster picking gauge orientation, the speedo didn't fit in the center position easily. and heres the way I ended with. The aluminum piece is temporary, probably for the summer haha. I'd like a full piece of aluminum to cover the whole cluster, but since I messed up at first this is the biggest piece I was left with. little copper glow action! I love these gauges. I've not yet driven the car so idk how well the speedo works. The gas gauge is calibrated to my tank and the tach is calibrated to this motor. They aren't the smoothest gauges it seems, but I've watched them very closely without thinking about anything else, like driving. So maybe that will change. Supposed to rain tomorrow, doubtful I'll take the car out.
  9. Thanks for the tips! The wiring could be backwards though in the front and cause this issue? Seems as though if they blink with the hazzards…they should blink with the blinker stalk. I'll give that a shot tomorrow as well as maybe work the grounds too. Just seems goofy that they do work, just not with the stalk. Also the dash light never comes on for the blinkers, however not sure if there is a bulb in it or not currently.
  10. Trying to diagnose my blinkers. The old relay was bad when I got this car and now I'm trying to get the blinkers to work. I swapped for an electronic flasher relay this morning and now the hazards are working, but not the individual blinkers. I checked continuity in the stalk and it seems to be functioning properly. Any ideas? Can't seem to find this same problem in searching.
  11. Been doing work. Gauges on the way, rear brakes and shocks ready to be put back on, and one more tail light to swap. we'll see how this looks when completed. The center between the lights is pretty well bondo'd, so I think replacing it with just a new piece of non raised metal would be best. Maybe this year.
  12. I'll check it out again, but I'm certain that that is not the issue (spacers) because the rotor wasn't bolted to anything and it was difficult to get them on. Just seems like the caliper won't open far enough or the pads are too think. I'll give it a try though.
  13. I put the volvo calipers and vented 320 rotors on my 02. I also bought pads for the 240. The issue I'm having is the pads not fitting well over the rotor. They are too thick. I did get them over and on, but they are putting pressure on the rotor so the wheel doesn't easily spin. I haven't bled the brakes yet to see if that clears up the issue, but I don't think thats going to really help. What brake pads are you guys buying? The ones for the 320 or the volvo ones? I thought that might be my issue but I couldn't find any information on which ones are needed.
  14. Thats a good eye you've got there. 1970 Postal DJ body on a CJ frame. Going to be my new wheeling rig. how it looked when I picked it up I'm going to try and roll it out of the garage today, I'll post up a pic of how it looks now then.
  15. New wheels. 15x9 in the back and 7" wide in the front. Rear tire size is 225-50-15. This isn't going to be as tall as the 16's unfortunately, but hopefully the gearing change will be noticeable. I checked the gearing of my old non-lsd differential and am pretty sure its a 3.90, which is the same as my lsd diff thats in the car. So I can't even swap differentials to get gearing back. I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet, maybe buy another differential with a tall gear ratio.
  16. to this guys' defense, if what I'm assuming happened did happen, the 'new topic' button is in THE dumbest spot, especially when compared to the hard to find reply button. I mean why would you start a new thread when you're viewing another on? It seems pretty common sense to not have that button available there.
  17. I've got an e36 m42 with the 5 speed that came with it.
  18. Awesome. Thanks for the great info. I agree the 3.91 sucks. It turned my car essentially into an around town car. It screams going down the highway or at any speed above 50. So I'm searching for solutions while trying to keep my lsd and not have to purchase another one.
  19. Ok thanks. The lsd is an e21 diff and my open is the 2002 diff. But I don't want the 3.91 gear set thats in the lsd e21 differential, I want the lower gears of the 2002 diff. I tried to search but I couldn't figure out what to search for specifically, and what I did search for I couldn't find anything relevant.
  20. I started thinking about pulling my lsd out of the 3.91 that I have and putting it into my longer geared differential. Does anyone know what the backlash is supposed to be for that? Who has actually done this? Any surprises or special tools/techniques with the old bmw cases?
  21. I've got some rather large adapters. Really big in the back, not so big in the front. Needed to get the rear hubs tapped to accept bolts and not the studs. The 320i front hubs are already threaded for them. The only issue is the rear hubs aren't really thick enough I don't think. So there isn't a whole lot of material that the bolts are holding onto. I'm going to fix that before driving it this summer.
  22. finished pics of the swap. I must get smaller front tires, these are way too big. I don't know how I feel about the look of the front yet. I really like the back. I hope with smaller front tires it looks better. Also I had an issue with the volvo brake kit. I'm not sure what the deal is but both sides have nearly locked the wheels from turning. Not sure how else to explain it other than it feels like the brakes are partially applied. Not sure where the issue is.
  23. Fronts are 7's, which is where the smaller tires are coming into play. 195's aren't going to stretch on 7" wheels.
  24. Thanks for the pics and links. I'll have to look in detail to them in a bit. I bit the bullet and bought the volvo stuff and started tearing down the front of my car. I took a pic of the wheel and tire shoved in the wheel well and held it up with a 4x4, it is in no way attached. I'll finish it tomorrow when I get the parts and am able to mount the wheels. So I'm not sure where the wheel will actually sit, in any case though the balloon tires suck. I am going to try and get 195-40-16 to 195-50-16. I have some 40's lined up for cheap but I don't think I want that low of a profile… Pics!
