Any suggestions how fit autometer temp sending unit??

Can I buy the correct sending unit for the temp autometer? If so where can I get one? I got the new gauge installed today, here is a photo of the sending unit that came with the gauge. This one is not metric and will not screw in the outlet next to other sending unit. Where can I get the correct unit? Thanks

Is this for coolant or oil temp?

Also Auto Meter sell some metric adapters, it looks like the sending unit you have is 1/8 npt threaded into a 3/8 npt adapter, just take out the sending unit and get the metric adapter you need.

Since I like the mechanical gauge and there are fewer thread options for those,

I just used a later water neck with extra bosses and ran a

3/8 npt tap into one of the bigger switch ones. Works fine,

and now I can use any ol' thing...

No idea, I just did a quick search. Contact the seller. I'm sure he had a purpose in mind. ..and the sizes are listed on each page.

On mine I found that the 14mm metric adapter size fit. M14 x 1.5 pitch. I found it on EBay ('Tradervar' is the store .... search 'adapter') It came in a kit of five different sizes for about $7.
