10 years or so ago i bought a kit and installed it on my 76...it worked as expected...when i restored the car, i never got around to reinstalling the setup...i miss them and if i wasn't so busy with the real job and had time, i'd put them back in the car

Have seen a restored 02 at Lime Rock that had both PW, and PDL. Owner said they worked well, but could not remember the sources he used

SPAL kits are readily available. That includes motors and switches and wire harness. You'll need to drill holes  to run wires  into the doors  and out of the kick panels. Then cut a bigger hole over window crank door panel to install the cover that fills the remaining hole.

i mounted the switches in the front, flat portion of the shift surround...used plugs that came with the kit to fill the door handle holes...a shifter surround is easier to find & replace if you have door panel cutting remorse

That is what I am talking about. My Spal kit came w/plugs too. You need to make the  old crank hole larger to mount the plugs correctly. Kit comes with cocentric centering template.

My E36's power windows break about every 6 months.  Sometimes in ways that leave the car open to thieves and weather.

I love being able to roll up the 2002's windows whenever I want, and not hearing a 'POP' and "Skrsshsss" of glass...

I have used the SPAL units for almost 2 years.  Switches on the rear of the console and a small custom cap over the crank location so I did not have to cut the door panels.  Lack of a limit switch is not a problem - it tells you when to stop pushing the switch.

Very happy with the results
