  1. My pockets aren’t deep, so price dependent (including getting them to Washington state): I’d love to have a set.
  2. No affiliation to seller. I just saw it there. It came up on one of my parts notifications. Talked to the guy briefly. He said he took it in trade for work and doesn’t know much about it other than it needs a tune up. https://offerup.co/WWhCaF4Wuab
  3. I’ve long dreamed of a road trip to Colorado. Now if only Covid would go away.
  4. Ospho’d some rusty patches along the trim line. Installed a seat that actually has some upholstery on it. Headrest is different. Kinda like it better. Will see if I can hunt down a matching passenger seat. Ran it for awhile. Still no title though. Only drive it in my dreams. IMG_5413.MOV
  5. Pulled the Recaro my car came with out and put in a seat from a 73 I found. it’s it worth the price of admission to get the Recaro reupholstered/restored? In Seattle Metro shop recommendations? The guy that sold me the other seat said this old Recaro is unicorn rare (his words( and advised to hold on to it. This unicorn has been to the wars though. Looks like it needs new everything... thx ??
  6. Cut away some of the rot. Not much but all I had time for this weekend.
  7. Pulled the trim off and started working on the rust beneath while my son pulled out the rear seats and began work on the floor. Also, sunroof still works ?? Floor mats need a serious scrubbing. These seem intact other than the drivers side on the gas pedal side.
  8. Removed trim intact to work on rust beneath. Pulled rear seats looking for rust and really didn’t find any ?? Seats in bad shape and need to be redone. Making these entries with my thumb on my phone necessitates brevity. So, this is mostly just a photo entry.
  9. @rocketman recommend I do it after he drove it here from Sonoma. Said it was was “missing” when accelerating. He’d fixed or replaced everything but the coil when he put the engine back in, so felt the coil needed replacing. I have a little multimeter somewhere. What should look for on the old one to judge it good/bad?
  10. I recently replaced the ignition coil with a new Bosch one. One of you fine people told me to keep the old one if it says “Germany” on it. It does and I did. What is the significance of that though? Is it valuable even though it doesn’t work very well anymore? Thx ??
  11. Replaced the hose on the cold air intake. Clamped it because the old one had worked it’s way off at the winter box end and had a close encounter with the fan
  12. No longer seeking this part at this time. Thanks
  13. My 76 02’s hood is rusted out along the front edge and rusty around grills & centerline. Interested in finding one that is in better shape Thanks!
  14. This thread is older, but anyone have recent experience with AIR hoods (Fiberglass or CF)? I was looking at this one (while I continue to look around for a cheaper solution): https://www.americaninternationalracing.com/product/front-hood-4/ I inquired with them and they say it's available. Thanks!

    Mint Green!

Under all the dirt, Mint Grun shines through!
  16. Oh, that’s what color you are.. oxidized and rusty you may be, but also you were filthy ?
  17. I largely didn’t understand the response. Lack of knowledge on my part though. The response was awesome. Thank you. I conferred with my 02 mentor @rocketman via text and this was his reply: ”He is correct. However, I found problems with that very wire being overheated, last Sunday morning, as I was preparing to depart. Because the points were previously replaced with the electronic switch(Pertronix), there was no need for the resistor wire, so I replaced it.” & “Hence I I didn't tell you to do this task, and in fact it's why I knew you could simply bolt this coil in place!” thanks for the guidance, if it hadn’t already been done I’m sure I would have been flummoxed when just rewiring it as it was didn’t work. ?
  18. as I dig in to that, I wind up here. Part found in these vehicles. I gather mine would be one of the US ones, but which? What do the “(xxxx)” numbers correspond to? Thanks!
  19. Ah! @rocketman, told me, when making upgrades specifically, not to throw this particular set of spark plug wires away as they have heat protection built in. Now I know why. Thanks!
  20. The little black plastic box that the intake is connected to at the top of the picture has what appears to be another place to connect a hose coming out the bottom of it. Is something missing here? Thanks!
  21. nope. I just matched the wires to their positions on the Bosch that was there. Not sure if it was original or not. Seems to run happily enough. What’s it do? Thanks!
