    F Bombs

Random decal find on Amazon. As frequently as these get dropped in the garage, I figured I had to have it ???
  2. It was a filter in the photo app of my phone applied to a picture of my garage. Thanks!
  3. So I'm a bit confused by the stated requirements for registering for collector plates. I've sent the DOL a message requesting clarity, but have yet to receive a response. I have a 1976 2002 last registered some years ago in California. Registration expired with the car nonfunctioning under a tarp in a field. Title was lost. The car was repaired and sold to me. Lost title was done and new title is on it's way to me now. The DOL requirements state that to get collector plates the car must have a current registration (see link)... so, I have to register it twice? Once normally and then apply for Collector Plates? That seems weird to me. Has anyone done this from a similar starting point and have advice? Thanks. https://www.dol.wa.gov/vehicleregistration/spcollector.html
  4. I'm in hurry up and wait mode just now. Expected soonish, but not here yet are: Definite: THE TITLE - I'll finally be able to register it and DRIVE it! Definite: Steel front fenders from Walloth & Nesch Definite: Rear bench delete from Esty Definite: Preval paint kit to close match my faded Mint Grun as I clear away the rusty bits. Maybe: A hood. I keep waffling here between a rust free steel one and a fiberglass one Maybe: a carb & intake manifold upgrade. Looking at redline kits, but waiting to hear back from Bill @ Road Rockets about options he may have. Wanted/searching: a 2nd M10 to tear down and rebuild to ultimately replace the tired one the car is running Continue to ask all my noob questions here in the FAQ and appreciate the answers & patience I receive in doing so. Made a new profile pic to go with my sig, but when I shrunk down to profile/comment sizes it's impossible to tell what it is Will attach the original here as something to post.
  5. Cool. Thanks @jireland2002! I was looking at the Redline K-202 38 kits on the Redline site. They include the carb and the intake manifold together. I'm assuming that "We" (from above) - given the screen name - refers to IE? On that site, I see the carbs by themselves but not the combo kits. https://www.iemotorsport.com/product/weber-38-dges-electric-choke/ https://www.iemotorsport.com/product/weber-38-dgms-manual-choke/ (and Cannon intake manifolds sold separately).
  6. Just me or did Redline’s website jump straight out of 1990something from the backseat of Doc’s DeLorean? What links there are on the carburetor kits page fo the 02 just lead to pictures and there are no prices that I see. I assume this means that they don’t sell direct and I have to go to auto parts site to get them. Okay, but none of the regular auto parts places I’ve tried (Advance, AutoZone, Napa, OReillys) seem to carry the redline brand. The sites that come up on a generic Google search seem sketchy and the prices vary wildly or they’re selling the “kit” as just the carb w/o the matching manifold for a price that would seem more reasonable for both. Where can these be had reliably, reasonably and complete? Thanks!
  7. My headliner has a couple tears in it, but otherwise is ok. Has anyone tried some step up from packing tape or duct to repair these. I was thinking like a clear iron-on patch mabye. Something like this stuff: https://www.amazon.com/Hemline-H699-1-Transparent-Invisible-Mending/dp/B003X2KVBK In the front dead center of my roof/headliner next to the top of the windshield there's a tear that leads up to a concave depression. I'm guessing a light went here maybe? Can anyone confirm that or share a photo of what should be there and isn't? Thanks!!
  8. Thanks for the offer @wegweiser! i actually bought @Jae’s though
  9. Orderd the preval kit and the Japan Drier, now just have to figure out a part of the car I can take to Lowes
  10. @esty, is there a suggested ratio? Thanks
  11. To see the contrast between the patina of the visible paint and what it must have looked like new, I have only to open the trunk. I do sometimes and just gaze at it lol. Played with the idea covering the bare bits with some kind of patterned racing stripes, I tried a swatch of a darker green on the roof. I like it okay, but imagine I'll buff it back off. (Yep, that's John Deere green from a rattle can. oh the horror )
  12. Yeah, a 2016 device was likely Bluetooth 4.2 (or early as electronics designs tend to get repackaged endlessly as "new"). 5.0 came out at the end of 2016. Current is 5.2 (2019). If you want to delve in to the nitty-geeky-gritty of the differences https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bluetooth#Specifications_and_features My nieces girlfriend is an Electrical Engineer and I thought to engage her by suggesting re-plumbing the guts of a vintage Blaupunkt with a SBC to make it a bluetooth receiver (among other things). If she turns me down, I'll likely go the far more simpler route of one of these adapters as ultimately my goal was just making a connection with her. The only thing I usually listen to while driving is books and there's plenty of low tech ways to achieve that ?
  13. Looking for a shift boot for my 76. Pelican Parts has them for $56 + shipping. Seems a lot for a bit of rubber ;). Hoping for a serviceable used one for less? Thanks
  14. Thanks, Steve. What's your setup consist of?
  15. I searched this site for Mint Green/Grun for all years of the 2002 and couldn't find it, @'76mintgrün'02. Maybe someone told them it wasn't close and they quit selling it ? I'm going to try @esty's suggestion.
  16. Read elsewhere that W&N was good stuff and ordered the fenders. Wish I'd read this first. ? Short of having a bodyshop do it (not within budget), any fitment advice? Thanks.
  17. Looking for a original Blaupunkt stereo for my 76. More concerned about appearance and completeness than function as I want to pull its guts out and try to make it into a Bluetooth receiver
