    Photo entry

Hit with polishing compound and ospho’d some rusty bits. Pulled the Recaro LS out to see about reupholstering it and put a seat from a 73 in its place. Additional: Pulled out the rear bench previously (it's in really rough shape) and ordered a rear bench delete setup & parcel shelf from @esty ?
  13. What gauge of sheet metal are the doors/body? initially I imagined I’d just cut the bottom 2 & 1/2 inches off the door straight across and butt weld a matching rectangular piece in its place, but looking at the interior structure of the door that seems less feasible. I don’t have any skill or means to cut a matching curved replacement piece. I suppose I could lap weld a rectangular piece to the outside and then weld along the curve within. It wouldn’t look smooth, but beyond that I struggle to imagine how to do it at my level of skill (a metal arts class a long time ago ~ so essentially none). Thoughts?
  14. Amazing what a bit of polishing compound did for my rust rocket ?? (color variance is just the difference between natural light from open garage door and garage fluorescents.)
  15. @esty The “like” reaction doesn’t begin to cover it. That’s perfect! ?
  16. Any history or examples of replacing the rear bench with a flat (wooden?) platform and carpeting it?
