    I did dent, I dented with a large hammer, but only on the side where the slave cyl is. I tilted from the oil pan, until there is about 3-4 inches from the distributor from hitting the firewall. The engine is cocked to drivers side a lot. Wiggling ensued, I still can't get the input shaft closer than about an inch away from the receiving hole. Should I loosen the motor mounts? if so where, and I don't have an engine jack. Feels bad guys Jimk, I guess my big problem is how do i tilt the motor and move it around?

    Ok, So i'm on the tail end of swapping a 245 in to my 73' and i can't get it to fit! I'm getting stuck while raising the tranny up to pressure plate, I get the trans flush with the tunnel, but the input shaft needs an additional inch or so to mate up. Im thinking I need to physically move the engine(tilt it down?), but i'm not sure how. Dear lord someone help me. BTW i live in Houston if any locals want to come poke fun at me/video it for youtube/watch me get crushed by a falling transmission.

    I have not finished the 5 speed yet, waiting on Ireland to send me my driveshaft and lightened flywheel back. Hopefully i can get out to the Hill Country for Terry's thing. I'll bring a few cameras with me too!

    Hey guys sry for the lack of communication. I've been hard at work under the hood and carpet I bought this 100% original inka from a dude in philly. An old man(original owner) had a past away and the window gave the car the car club owner whom I got it from. I drove her around the week before Christmas before I started working. The clutch was done(wouldn't had after 3k rpms) so I jacked her up and started a 5 speed conversion. I had no previous car work experience and used this forum as my only resource. I have to say this is an amazing community. At times I got scared and thought I would break everything and have no ability to put anything back together. Boy was I wrong. I pulled all the factory carpet(some was wet under!!!), all 40 lbs of that tar crap and I am about to tackle a few small rust spots(it sucks finding these, but I feel so much better after seeing everything and knowing my car is actually rust free). After I poor-15(thanks for that autocorrect Siri, yes it is expensive) a couple spots I'm going to sound proof, put in an etsy carpet kit, pre wire for eurotrashs basic audio kit, battery under seat relocation and put the dash/heater/new AC back in. After that I have some seats, new shift knob and wheel waiting to go in!
