    Hi all, Assuming I get my car back from LA in time I'm in for Vintage, leaving from Jersey City, New Jersey. Happy to convoy with all the other NJ folks and New Englanders as long as they bring chowdah. Totalled over 1,000 miles in my first 2 days going from San Francisco to LA where she's in the capable hands of Le Tran. Can anyone tell me hotel plans so I can make my own? Thanks- James

    I would be very interested to hear how the body looks outside of the known rust, especially from a 2002 guy. However don't ruin your day if it's totally out of your way. James

    Hey Guys- I've been in contact with the owner who seems like a good guy. I bowed out as he can't get the trunk open so he cannot send me photos of the rear wheel wells. Does anyone know the car? James (in NJ)

    I can only speak from experience. I texted and was promised call after call and am ready to go. After a number of promises and expressing my continued interest, I gave up. If he hasn't sold it I would be delighted to speak and setup a PPI. James

    It appears to be s very early car, maybe number 16 overall. But the engine doesn't seem original. there are plenty of cars that need that kind of work- I would prefer to wait for one with a better story. For instance, matching numbers or stronger body or a Tii. Maybe that's just me...

    Well if the rust has already eaten all the metal there technically isn't much rust anymore, is there. Besides, 'light' rust sells much better than 'heavy' rust.

    I recognized this one as being for sale in South Carolina recently. The car was originally $8,500 but the seller seemed ok at $6k. It has a bad paint job and if I recall from the original photos (this is one of the originals) the rear driver's side shock tower is due for a patch. current seller says he bought two and is selling one.

    Steve- I was indeed texting with the owner and received that photo. I completely agree that Polaris would be fantastic. I was considering it for a quickly-drivable project. Is that your car? Did you buy it? Not trying to bash or misrepresent the car, just discuss it. James

    I would be curious to hear how it looks in person. The paint has a little 'latex interior' look to it and rust appears to be an issue.

    Steve- You are looking at it all wrong. At $4500 it's almost twice as nice as it was at $2500. I'm just shocked they were able to do all the work overnight. Has anyone seen this car?

    Hi All- NMNA The owner Scott is selling due to divorce. The car needs one rocker but includes the part. Brakes have been gone through by a local BMW guy and rust is described as limited. The KF has been tuned and the car should have most records with a little over 100k on the clock. I may have found another car- could be a good opportunity in a rare color 74 Tii sunroof car.
