  1. 121TI head sold. Ported/polished head still available
  2. Matching pair of driver-quality door handles with functioning lock/key. Both in good working order with mounting hardware, no significant/notable cosmetic issues $110 shipped within the continental US
  3. Have a couple spare cylinder heads, both need some work before use. Head # 1 : 121 TI casting, with the larger 46mm intake valves. Been sitting off a car for more than a decade, needs to be cleaned up and checked over. Obviously missing the exhaust rocker shaft/arms, but otherwise appears complete. $125 Head # 2 : E21 casting, was fully “rebuilt” by Bavarian Engine several years ago, but not run long mileage-wise. Ported and polished intake side by Bav Engine as well. Fully disassembled, has a seemingly repairable crack between the water jacket and exhaust valve on cylinder 3, pictured below. Comes with valves, rocker arms, hardware etc. Pricing for the value of the parts, and the head as a likely fixable but otherwise fit for artwork piece @ $100 Located in Raleigh, NC. Can pack/ship either or both together. -Adam
  4. I left a review of my transaction with m-tuner in the feedback forum. Didn't expect them to jump in on a new WTB post, but anyone can connect the dots on what transpired there at this point. Dye is an option. Just would prefer to have the actual black pieces considering they are high-traffic parts, and more likely to be worn through the dye at some point. Might test dye these blue ones since m-tuner refuses to take them back! d
  5. Susan, once again, you sent me *blue* handles. If you sent me black handles, I wouldn't be looking for a set of black ones!
  6. How did you fit the rad and fan into the car? I have the same radiator, but there is almost no room between it and the water pump pulley, so I couldn't *tilt* the radiator into place with a fan attached on the front.. Was about to fabricate some brackets to hold the fan directly to the nose of the car instead.
  7. Disappointing to hear the issues you have to contend with getting the car back now. But on the bright side, it *looks* absolutely stunning!
  8. Max, the set appears to be $389 shipped.. https://www.max2002store.com/product-page/2002-lower-black-trim-kit-with-clips-1972-1973
  9. Re-posting a wanted ad due to being screwed over by a long-time forum member here. ☹️ In need of a pair of *black* interior door handles/arm rests in good, usable condition. Let me know what you have! -Adam
  10. What a beaut! Looks like a great driver, and all the mechanicals well-sorted. Will be a great buy for someone!
  11. Thanks for sharing that story Bob! I think a lot of us have experienced the "one that got away" a time or two over the years. I've been relatively lucky in my knocking on strangers doors, but there have been a few that I really wanted to save that, there was just no separating the car from the owner. We do what we can, but it definitely concretes the memory, doesn't it!
  12. I managed to save this car from being yard art, but it’s going to be another year or three before I have the time/desire to play with it. Seeing if someone wants a patina’d driver, or a roundie resto candidate in an awesome color! ‘72 Colorado Orange 2002, non-sunroof car. Equipped with Frigiking A/C, black seats and saddle/black door panel set. Carpet was beyond saving, so pulled out and tossed. All stock currently other than a war-torn Momo wheel and solid Momo wheel hub. Pictured missing some exterior belt line trim, but I have all the pieces to go with the car. And a pair of headlights, which were inexplicably removed at some point. The car obviously has rust. BUT; the strut towers, frame rails, shock towers, and inner rockers are flawless. The passenger front fender, door, and quarter panel have rust, as does the rear lower rocker panel. Driver side is much more solid with some rust spots on the driver door, but nothing else notable. The driver floor pan has a thin area near the base of the pedal box, but the rest of the floors are intact. One ~3”x3” square soft spot at the passenger forward rear subframe mount, but the other three mounts are rock solid as well. Windshield surround, cowl panel, and a-pillars are excellent. I haven’t tried to run the car, but I have spare m10’s and/or 4-speed transmissions that can be worked into the deal. The door panels aren’t pictured, but included with the car. It’s on e30 bottlecaps with old tires that hold air and roll fine. I have a parts car that can donate 98% of the metal needed to make this car perfect, including the passenger fender, doors, quarter panel, outer lower rocker panel, and even a trunk lid. The car is located in Raleigh, NC and will be sold with a bill of sale. Looking for $3k with all the spare trim/panels etc, but open to *reasonable* offers. I don’t have to sell, but I’ll be moving it to storage in a few weeks to free up space otherwise. Those interested, feel free to message me with questions/interest. Those not interested, please be polite. ?
  13. Damn, this is tempting.. miss my 14" set from my old car..
  14. Swapping over from tan to black door panels. Somehow I've ended up with a plethora of tan armrest/grab handles, and no black pieces. Needed for both driver and passenger side in good usable condition. PM me with what you have! -Adam
  15. If I end up keeping the Colorado Orange 72 I pulled out of the woods, this tarted up little 1600 will certainly make it's way into it. But I currently have cars/parts/projects *and* engines for days, so it would be nice to just free up some space. I did think about tidying up this motor some more and submitting to BaT, but I'd rather let someone scoop it up off the FAQ for less time-investment from me, and less cost for them
  16. Back up to page 1. Let's find this baby a home, other than my garage
  17. Don't forget folks; many oil filters (especially of that era) used paper as a main filtration element. Looking at how other paper products of similar vintage have aged, I'd think twice about putting that in my oil. Just my opinion, of course!
  18. Welcome Murph! My opinion on the matter; is it worth any amount of risk for the ~$6-$7 a new filter costs? Keep an old one around for nostalgia purposes, toss the rest, and buy a couple new filters
  19. I find myself flush with engines currently, need to clear some space! I originally purchased this as a replacement engine for my ‘91 318is, but have since sold the car. Contemplated popping it into my ‘76 02, but going to stick with an M10 for now. I purchased this engine from a local friend who had it in his E30 before rebuilding the car as a door-to-door race car with a 6-cylinder swap. The motor had 80k on it when he purchased it. At 100k, the cylinder head was removed, pressure-tested/resurfaced, completely rebuilt with new valves and hardware, and re-assembled with all new timing chain components, including the NLA chain gears! It is currently assembled with new gaskets and hardware, and zero miles on the refresh. The crank pulley is in storage, but included with the engine, as well as an AFM. Also included is the full wiring harness and ECM. Harness has been gone through, narrowed down for the necessities of a swap, and tidied up. Brand new Sachs clutch kit included as well. A coil-over-plug conversion kit (why one e36 coil) is included, as well as and original m42 coil and plug wire set. A second M42 can be included with the first motor for no additional fee. Motor #2 (pictured with white valve cover) ran, but developed a knock and was pulled. Lots of spare parts/accessories attached. Additionally, I have multiple intake manifolds, fuel rails, injectors, ecu’s, upper pan assembly etc that can be had for little-to-no cost to the purchaser. $975, located in Raleigh, NC. Prefer not to ship due to all the extras, but arrangements could be made if necessary. -Adam
  20. With the help of many on this forum, I thought it better to make a new listing for this motor with better information. Complete 1600 long-block assembly. Early casting (January 5th, 1967) block, November ‘66 casting on the 118 head. Engine is equipped with an aftermarket Norris camshaft, upgraded rocker arms, newer replacement (and possibly upgraded) connecting rods, and a balanced rotating assembly. The engine turns over smoothly without issue. One rocker arm pad looks to be missing some of the pad, but there is no signs of debris in the oil passageways, head, or pan. Has likely been in dry storage for well over a decade, and should be gone through before being run. Condition-wise though, everything looks clean and ready! Distributor not pictured, but included with engine. $1100 or best reasonable offer. Located in Raleigh, NC. Can ship on the pallet built around it currently as well. -Adam
  21. Nothing confirmed yet, but I'll be heading back out to get some more pictures and details for folks who were interested. See if we can't re-home and save a couple more cars!
  22. Pictures of the Tii for those potentially interested
