    My 02 is a 72. So would the font hubs and brakes be a bolt on? I am forcing myself not to touch the 320 until I finish the body on my 02, which is harder then you think. Thanks.

    A friend’s sister just gave me her running 79 320i and I want to know what I could use off it. I plan on using the engine, the 4sp (I have an auto), the radiator, the rear brakes, the diff (if its a LSD), and the alternator. Is there anything else that can swap to the 2002? On another note, the engine has a significant oil leak around the exhaust manifold, what is on that side of the engine that would cause such a leak?

    I would mix some fiberglass resin to fill in the gaps because if you use something like duraglas or filler you have the potential to create cracks later on.

    Being an MG owner and seeing those pics has me counting down the days for the All British Field Meet in the Pacific Northwest. The black Healey at the end is beautiful and the Mini with the Honda engine just looks fast.

    I have had good results with the POR 15 on several projects. For the rust that I had to deal with I sand/wire wheel the rust then POR followed by undercoating. I have used the 3M paintable rubberized (The dark green can not the light green) and like the results.

    I had my 64 MGB on its top, striped it down, and POR 15 and used a good rubberized undercoating and for my 510 I cleaned the surface really well and re-under coated it. I am in the process of doing the same with my 2002. If it’s going to be a driver I would do something similar. Good luck.

    Finished the trunk last weekend and hit the trouble spots with POR 15. Hopefully I will be spraying some DP this weekend and start working towards the top coat.

    I need to buy new weather stripping and window seals and would like to find out if any members have bought URO Parts products? Were you happy with the quality? I have been burned in that past purchasing weather stripping for other projects so any opinion would be appreciated. Thanks.

    I love your 02 and I actually want mine to look similar. I spent the weekend doing some sanding and hopefully next week will be doing the same. I have strong goals for the project so with all luck will be posting regularly. On another note, the suroof seal thats on the body, will a new seal come with a stainless steel trim? Thanks.

    I picked up a new hood for my 2002 project and need to reattach the skin to the two center supports. Any suggestions? What adhesives have people used? Thanks. Chad

    I picked up some spare parts today that were on the local craigslist and have a new question for the forum. I picked up a new hood for my project (the one on the car has rust around the bump stop) and would like to know how people in the past have reattached the hood skin to the two center supports? I will also be selling some of the stuff (fenders and a dash) once I get some pics so keep an eye on the classifieds.

    Hello everyone, I am new to the forum, although I have already posted a few question, and just picked up my first 2002 (after growing up with 510’s). I have started the task of repainting the car and was amazed how solid the car was. The only surface rust was from the front bumper pushing in the front fender. After the paint job the next step will be replacing the engine (bought it with a bad one) and updating the suspension. I am very excited to finish the car and will keep updating the thread.     Can anyone tell me how to remove the wing window knob on the door panel? I have everything else removed and dont want to damage the knob. Is there senter cap hiding the screw like the door and window handle? Thanks for the help. Chad

    I am getting ready to repaint my 2002 and want to get some ideas for repainting the trunk. Do a lot of people replace the old undercoating with new? Do they strip it down and paint it for a smooth finish? I have also been thinking about using POR-15 for the trunk any suggestion? I have used the product before and was happy with it but have read a few other posting on the forum that has me second guessing. I am sure I will be posting more question in the future. Thanks for the help.

    Sorry not much of vw guy. I bought the car with a bad engine and just wanted to know if it was worth pulling the trany while the engine was out. Please don’t get the wrong impression.

    Hello everybody, Just joint the forum and wanted to know how desirable a 72’ automatic is for resale value? Any help would be great. I am planning on selling it soon and wanted to find out if it would be better to put a 4 speed in it. Thanks. Chad
