  1. Finally at least one part for the '75 looks new New MOOG balljoints Epoxy and Ireland urethane. Not too bad, I think. Happy HOHO's o2ers JB
  2. The other idea I was tossing around, the handles that go right at the rear edge of the door panel. So the trailing edge of the door would have a pocket where the handle sits. Happy Summer Holidays Oz JB
  3. I was looking at a 7 series the other night with the flush door handles and the placement of said handles. My question is if anyone has one of these cars could you compare the contour of the door to that of an o2. I am thinking of shaving my handles on the '75 but I do not like not having a handle. The 7 series flush mounts would look cool and I think the contour is pretty close. TIA Happy Holidays JB
  4. The M3 unit is stronger, lighter and newer. It is a little pricy @ about $175 but from what the board has posted it is, hands down, worth every penny. I seem to remember it being like 8 lbs less or some crazy amount like that. If you search the forum there are a number of threads about the mod. JB
  5. If I remeber your blog correctly this car is going to see track time. If that is the case you should consider the M3 starter upgrade. JB
  6. I took the brake booster assembly apart last night to prep everything for repainting. I did a leak down test on the booster and it seems to be fine. There was remnants of foam around the shaft (pedal side). Is this foam necessary, is it available or can I punt and live without it? TIA JB
  7. I went back and redid the photos on the blog after last night's poor attempt. With a little help from Esty and my 17 year old I have worked it out. Sorry for the first attempt (couple of pix that shouldn't have been there. JB
  8. Esty, I was at home on the Mac where right clicking is not an option, I got back on this morning and fixed it up. I am extremely unwired and have learnerd more about computers than I have ever known just because of this board. Thank you for your support and I appologize for last nights error filled attempt. Justin
  9. I posted some pix on the '75 o2 blog (some are barely appropriate without the verbage, still working on that). This is possibly the greatest site I have ever known. Cheers and Happy Holidays to All. JB
  10. Stripping the interior and beginning the search for rust Stripping the engine bay Under the 1/4" thick welds After sand blasting pedal bucket before We are planning to seal all of this up and pull all of the unneccessary brackets and keepers. Not bad Better Suface only DAMMIT I knew it had to be some where, It does not apper to have gotten to structure but we are still searching. I'll get some more up later.
  11. I am pretty sure that they are a factory version of the H-4 upgrade. They have the removable lamp capsules. What made them "euro" was the U.S. limit for brightness. Good Luck JB
  12. realoem.com shows it as a fillister head screw m10x35. Good Luck JB
  13. I would go with .008 and I don not think that the induction system makes a difference (i am a normally aspirated guy though). As far as the cam goes you would want to look down the timing cover with a good flashlight at the "nose" of the cam where the sprocket bolts on. Most aftermarket cams would have numbers stamped or written on the nose, what those numbers actually mean is a great point of contention and should be left to someone more knowledgable than myself. Good Luck JB
  14. I am set up with an account at yahoo pix but I can't figure out how to get the pix to attach or to make them small enough to attach. I noticed that the other pix I see look like they are coming from some sort of link. HELP Thanks JB
  15. On the tail of the tranny there is a round shape in the cover kind of under the output shaft, it will have the tranny model # embossed in the case and then you can cross reference on real OEM or here at the FAQ. It shoul clearly show though. Good Luck JB
  16. Those are stock. Rebuild kits are $32 from bav auto and rebuilt units are $95 from ireland and $139 from bav auto. Good luck JB
  17. 38/38 is the most common I have seen, but I did see a 40df something set up somewhere. Try the Weber/redline link at TEP I am pretty sure they have a matrix that shows all of your choices.
  18. Tj, bmw-auto-parts-dealer.com $18.83. Cheers JB p.s. Local dealer may give bmwcca discount that gets you in the same neighborhood.
  19. That is RAD. I had no idea. Thanks, now I have yet another web site that is going to whip me around by my wallet. JB
  20. Why not put a voltage limiting gate with an led attached, a choke with an indicator you know.
