  2. Hello Lee, Please put me down for a kit. Thanks, Alex.
  3. I'm sad I missed this. How often do you come across these and how much do they go for? Alex.
  4. Hello Blunt Thank you so much for the help. I made the track day!!! I ended up having to grind down in three locations in the bell housing. Removed quite a bit of material. Once I got in there, I saw the contact point. I then cut a piece of cardboard to line up from the transmission spline to the point of contact and walked it around like it was a compass. This made it pretty clear where I needed to trim down. I had the engine in and out twice in two days back to back! =) Thanks again for you help!!! Alex.

  6. Hello everyone, I did two things this weekend. 1. Installed an s14 JBR aluminum flywheel, s14 HD clutch and 323 TO bearing with my M10 and e21 5-speed. 2. Installed an Ireland windage tray. The motor now only rotates 120 degrees (by turning crank pully). When it stops at each end, a noise seems to come from the bell housing. I am assuming that there is some interference there. For those of you who have done this before, did you have to remove any material from the transmission before doing this? Could I possibly installed the windage tray wrong? I have a track day Tuesday and no car. I haven't been this sad in a very long time. Thanks, Alex.

  10. Hello Lee, Payment sent. I have also sent you an email directly to your email. Thanks, Alex.
  11. Hello Lee, Do you still have one more left? If so, please put me down for it. I have a moroso hybrid pan. Thanks, Alex.

  15. Hello JT, Thanks for those pictures. Have you been documenting most of this installation? Do you have a website or pictures you could email to me? I want to do the same thing, then collectively add them as a how to on the FAQ. Thanks, Alex.
  16. Hello Nick, You have a great website. I've refered back to it many times in this process. I believe the tranny is a 262. It has a dog leg first and the number stamped into the side is 262.0.0510.98. I was confused when I first picked it up as all. Metric Mechanic does have it mentioned on this link. http://www.metricmechanic.com/pg51.htm Please correct me if am wrong. I am actually not sure of the differences. My intention is not the steal the thread but is there a way to keep the stock m3 oil pan as well as moving the engine back? Thanks, Alex
  17. Hello, I'm going through the same thing right now. I have a buddy who is parting out an E30 M3 as well and I'm sure you'd be able to get parts from him and I'm pretty sure that the tranny is not spoken for. Let me know if you are interested. For my project I am going with the Getrag 262 CR. I'm looking forward to the surgery. =) Alex.
  18. Just an idea. This is a problem that I have with my car. If the tach is connected to the negative on the coil the car is a really hard start. If I unplug it, it starts up immediately. I haven't tried another gage cluster or tach to check for the problem yet. It did however take many months to find the problem. Hey Nick, if you read this, big thanks. Alex.
  19. Go ahead and loosen the belt and check if there is any play in the water pump. It should be pretty tight. If you feel any play, it probably won't be long before you start to see that it leaks out of the hole on the top. Alex.
  20. Hello, I have the same problem on my 2002 but not on my 1600. I have a 5 speed for the 2002 and it was not a part from the dealer. The T/O bearing from the 1600 was from the dealer. I want to believe that not being BMW part is the reason. Not sure though. Maybe because it's not a 2002 or 1600 T/O bearing? No problems from it but noise and I have been told that it's common. Alex.
  21. I just went through this and I didn't have any problems at all. There is an engine lift point where the alternator is mounted. I took a 4x4 and tied climbing rope to it and the engine lift point. I kept turning the 4x4 until the rope wrapped tight around the 4x4 and the engine started to lift a bit. Then set the 4x4 across transversely. To keep it from unwinding, I screwed a 2x4 to it perpendicularly so that it touched the glass and top of the radiator. I then set a jack stand under the engine while I was working on the subframe. When I went to put the subframe back in, I removed the jack stand and the 4x4 was more than enough to hold the engine up. I didn’t notice any thing move around and all the bolts lined right now. Alex.
  22. Thanks for the answers everyone. I went with the Bav Auto set. I assume that all the poly kits are the same. Bar Auto had the best price. Alex.
  23. Hello, Polyurethane bushings for front and rear subframe have been on back order from Ireland and they don't expect them before I need them. Does anyone know of any other vendors? Thanks, Alex.
  24. Hello All, Is there a website that is for Mercedes that is similar to RealOEM? Thanks, Alex.
  25. Hello Rimmer, I was talking to Scottie about a good used long neck diff and he mentioned that you may have a few. Are you interested in parting with one? Thanks, Alex.
