  1. It has been on the for sale page forum since this morning
  2. It's not a 74 since the tail pipe comes straight out the back, so that narrows it down to a 75-76. Another hint that it's not a 74 is the water bottle mount is on top of the brake booster, 74's were on the passenger side inner fender. Since it has a weber on it without a stock air cleaner, it would have never passed smog with that set up if it was a 76. My guess is a 75. $5.5K for almost a stock 75 02 seems to be asking a lot, Being Sausalito, they'll probably get it.
  3. I've seen it on 77 320i's, the first year that E21's were sold in the US market.
  4. that was rear ended in Monterey. Did the insurance company declare the tii totalled (I'm sure they did after seeing pics)? Are you still fighting with the insurance company over value, Did you find a shell to put all of your tii parts into? Give us an update, enquiring minds want to know Gordon
  5. Take a look at this picture, it shows where you need to reinforce the subframe on a 2002. http://www.coupeking.com/product_main.php?product_id=312&image_id=1126234078
  6. I've never seen one of these before http://seattle.craigslist.org/car/107994964.html
  7. Bill is the tii guru for So Cal. If you have old European Car and Roundel magazines from the 90's, you will see ads for Bavarian Rennsport, that was Bill's shop in San Diego (Poway). I moved to San Diego in Dec last year, before I took a job offer on the central CA coast in June. I had always heard good things about Bill and they are true. When my ex and I split, I took all my old 02 parts (whole storage shed) and donated them to him since he lost his shop and four 02's (to include a tii an Alpina) to the San Diego wildfires in OCT 03. My ex would have tossed them and I had no where to store them when we split. Bill has since rebuilt his shop (it's in the middle of nowhere). While I was there in San Diego, Bill dialed in my 73 Bav and man that car runs. After I bought my 70 E3 Euro spec 2800 for $300, I took it to Bill to go over the car. The mileage was 88K kilometers. I figured it had rolled over numerous times (no paperwork) but the body was straight and no rust. Bill told me that was the original miles on the car because nothing had ever been replaced on the car (hoses/belts, etc..) and he's been turning wrenches on BMW's for 30 years. He called my E3 a time warp, especially when he pulled my ZF manual gearbox to replace some bearings. Bill also dialed in my tii, needless to say, all my BMW's have never ran better. Jon, your turbo was in the shop when my cars were there, I drooled over it many a time, Bill was fanatical when he talked about your car. Great to see it back on the road. If you remember, I was the one who recomended Bill to you. Gordon 74 tii, 5 speed, lsd, sahara 73 Bavaria, 5 speed, webers, Alpina's, malaga 70 E3 2800, 4 speed, Euro spec, totally stock, granada
