  1. Good to know I guess but I don’t qualify as a nerd I suppose. my tii has H&R suspension and full cloth Recaro interior from 1974 along with Minilites from 74. i will be going back to a stock interior but not suspension before too long. thanks for the email link. I knew at one time but had lost the information. edit: My car was born on July 18, 1972, delivered to Max Hoffman motors in NYC on August 16th, 1972. Colorado paint code 002.

  7. You do not need nor is it advisable to go to bare metal if there is no rust involved What ever happened to the search function here? The under coats/primer used from the factory are high quality and going to bare metal is a waste of time and energy

  12. i think you'd find a properly tuned tii pretty fun power wise. i rebuilt my motor, cleaned the injectors, timed it properly, and installed a IE distributor, the the difference was dramatic.
  13. Personally, I'd never do what your contemplating to a tii. There are too many square tails/non tii cars available that you could buy as a ready replacement. None of my business, but why the heck did you buy a tii if you don't really want a tii?
  14. anyone know of a source for a new shift boot?

  21. UPDATE!! Hey everyone, Ok, here's the itinerary for the October 5th drive to Leavenworth. Meet up at the usual place, the Alki boat launch at 8:30'sh for a meet/greet. Depart Alki boat launch at 9:15 to arrive at Leavenworth at around 11:30 via US-2 east. Personal time on Leavenworth for 2 to 3 hours, then back home via US-2. Alternative route home is via US-97 south to I-90, back over Snoqualmie Pass then home. US-97 is supposed to be a great drive. This is the way I will be going back. Hope for good weather and bring family/friends/camera as it is Octoberfest in Leavenworth, so it should be a fun day. Show up at the boat launch all gassed up and ready to go. look for an email from me and please reply
  22. thought I'd pass this along from a group member Oktoberfest runs for the first three weekends at Leavenworth. The event costs twenty dollars on Saturday. Part of the road in the downtown area of Leavenworth is closed off for all the activities. I attended the festival last year. There are a fair amount of people, but it is not overly crowded by any means. For anyone who is unfamiliar with the festival there is plenty of german music, dancing, costumes, food, and of course beer. Although the event is going on, there is still a portion of the town that is not involved with the festival.
  23. welcome see the posts below for a get -together and drive in October
