  1. M42 is the best 4 cylinder motor BMW ever built high rev, smooth, plenty of power for a 2002, and doesn't upset the balance of the car like 6 cylinder motors do. IMHO it would be perfect in a 2002 the timing chain issue is due to the tensioner which is an easy remedy this is becoming a fairly common swap
  2. 1. 1993 Cadillac DeVille 4dr, 111k miles, clean, noisy power steering pump, radio non-operation (looks normal but no sound), metallic brown/mocha leather interior. Interior is in great shape, roof paint is starting to peel a little. Cheap daily driver. $1250 2. 1962 International Scout. Was driven to where it's parked 7 years ago. Needs mucho TLC. 4cyl 3spd (rebuilt tranny). Bring a trailer $250 part of an estate sale for my father-in-law

  11. Heads up. Please look at the email from Stu in the original email re Brian Capp. http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,50/page,viewtopic/t,378256/ I know Brian and have had work done by him. I like him, but he has had issues, alcoholism, over the years that has impacted his ability to accomplish work as promised. Anyone that has work still at Capp's, rebuilds, bodywork etc needs to be aware that Brian still has issues. Lloyd Low's story is tragic. Lloyd is apparently having trouble getting his '02 retrieved from Capp's property as other cars are in the way. ANYONE that knows ANYBODY that has a car at Brian's should be made aware of what is apparently going on. Frankly i don't know if it's booze or other personal issues with Brian. I thought that he's had returned to normal, but i guess not. But people with cars still there should be warned and encouraged to get in contact with Brian (if possible as he's not returning phone calls), and or getting their cars off Brian's property. Lloyd would certainly like to get his family heirloom back if he could get other cars out of the way. We all wish Brian the best and hope for his return to normal. He's a good man and a resource to the '02 community
  12. sadly we had a similar result with brian some time ago. Stu, i'll email you tonight. never mind, i'll just call Lloyd.

  21. hi, putting my Montego blue 328xi up for sale I'm selling because I normally own a car for about 3 years, and it's been close to three years. The car is in really good condition. Normal wear, no accidents. 75,000 miles 6 spd manual Dual power seats, adjustable lumbar etc. Color is Montego blue, beige leather interior. Sport package Premium package 17" std wheels and 18" optional staggered wheels (one set of each go with the car) This is a CPO car I bought used in Colorado and drove home to the PNW. I am the second owner. No issues of any kind with this car. This is a great driver's car. Very fast, great cornering, sure footed in the snow around town. This has been my daily driver, and now on to something else. I am interested in an e30 M3 of comparible value. KBB private party value is $20,646 I am asking $19,500 on the way home from Colorado. 17" wheels not my car, but exactly the same with 18" staggered wheels additional pics upon request please email/pm me thru the website if interested thanks!
