Pike-

I'm glad to hear the car is running so well and has plenty of power. Thank you for the opportunity of letting me help and I hope it's everything you imagined and more. Please let me know when I can help you with anything else!

ps. I know the 5-speed swap is soon, I'll get ready ASAP! :)

Just a couple of updates. I installed Ireland 8mm spark plug wires (functional) and painted the valve cover. I drove it to the Orlando meet and greet last night and it ran like a top. I had toyed with the timing and it was running awesome. On the way back, it had a slight miss. I need to check the gas filter but since I was under a half tank (and I don't think the timing changed itself), I'm leaning towards the tank having a bunch of crap on the bottom. I also fixed my speedometer. A couple of weeks ago it was bouncing all over the place, so I found a thread or two on the faq. THE POWER OF THE SEARCH FUNCTION!!!

So I bought a Kamei airdam that will go on soon (hopefully). Of course, the first step is to take the front diving board off.

Next I'll have to have the holes plugged and airdam mounted.

I've also installed the "002" mechanical dizzy and fiddled with the timing so that it runs great.

Other than that, just little touch up stuff. Next month, the 5 speed!

Here's the tranny, TEP mounting bracket, new guibo and short shift kit (that I hope we can use).

Shortened driveshaft (thanks Clay).

New center bearing.

You're right! I know it's there for a reason but is it absolutely necessary?

I know someone who had their motor lunge forward into their radiator. That's what the bracket is supposed to prevent. Your urethane mount is much firmer than stock and I would assume not nearly as likely to happen, but why risk it. It's 3 minutes to put it on.
