Fuel Sender Re-assembly Question

Recommended Posts

Just took apart the fuel level sender to check that everything was working.

Other FAQ posts indicate a screen on the bottom of the fuel level sender.

Was this true of all models? My 72 tii has a fuel pick-up which I assume has a screen and a seperate fuel level sender that does not have one.

An artticle in the BMW enthusiasts guide does not mention a screen in the level sender rebuild.

Where are the screens?

Thanks

since the screen is for the fuel itself, the tii sender unit "can" doesn't need a screen 'cause the pickup isn't inside the can as it is on the carbureted cars.

I'm going by memory as I've not messed with tii's too much, but that's what I seem to remember.

cheers
