On a side note what is your front seat out of?

carpet still looks great!  I later added Esty's rear seat delete carpet set.

 

not sure where those seats originally came from.  they were in a '73 I had years ago when i bought it.

Hey Mlytle, is your carpet set the grey smaller loop (H4)? Looking for a carpet set that easy to clean also. I was hoping for black smaller loop but it's not available

i believe so.  usually Esty can get you whatever you need.  She can't do the black?  that would be odd.

Yea, I just emailed esty earlier today. Unfortunately black is only available on the larger loop carpet set. I'll shop around for a black set before I settle with the grey.

great post on the Esty carpet installation. i just got my carpet kit, only thing is i have an auto, guess its the same except for the gear shifting level, i will def post pics added to this with the finished pics of the interior ..... thanks guys and Esty.

Esty also made me a custom trunk mat with a cut out for my rear battery install, very nice!

 Is the original molded floor panels (similar to particle board) reused in this process?  I have the panels and intend to do this some day.  I will discard them if not needed.

what insulation did you use, where did you get it from, is it a self stick , it looks nice and thin. i need to get some for the floors..

not needed.  i chucked mine in the trash.

 

from the first page of this thread,

"under the carpet is a layer of RAAMAT (kinda like FATMAT) and a layer of Ensolite sound absorber (the black stuff you see). together they are maybe 1/4in thick."
