The tii ran great and didnt have any problems running to and from school. I had alot of spare time so I took lots of pics around town. Here are some of the best ones I took.

LOL.. I wish I had as much room to work on it as I used to, or at least a covered area! Now she sits out in my dads drive way, and I drive her through the mud into the backyard to sit in the grass outside the basement where my tools are.. that where I work on it. at least theres alot of open space right ?! ;)

I was going to use it, but since I put the turbo flares on, it wouldn't fit. Ive been saving my money afford one of Ardvark center sections (and I actually have them sending me one right now.. more on that later)

Its now the end of 2007, and I wanted to try and give the tii a break from its dailey driving. I found a guy that had a 1988 Nissan Stanza Wagon, it had a blown engine, and was in nearly perfect condition other than that. I slapped an engine in that and start driving when I didnt feel like driving the tii.

The car and I both moved to my dads house in Winder at the beginning of 2008. Not much else was done to the car, I kept driving the tii as much as I could.

More pics of the tii around town. Most of these are in Downtown athens.

I decided it would be fun to start doing some BMW CCA autocrosses.

Had an awesome time, and smoked my dads m3 run after run.

It was all fun and games until I burned out my clutch.. and then she got parked for about 4 months.. More on that in the next post.

I dont want to dwell on this subject because it brings back alot of memory's that I do not miss. Long story short... It took me over three month to complete, mostly from lack of free time due to being so exhausted after work. I was having alot of trouble getting the pilot bearing out, so Bill Williams let me borough his snap-on tool, it took it out instantly, and I was on the way to recovery. Harrison and chris from the forum came over one day and helped me put everything back together, and she was back on the road.

My car officially sounds like a BEAST, much more vintage sounding, and much less highway drone believe it or not.

Check THIS out. Sound good eh?

Painted my tail light centers red as well with stained glass paint.. turned out pretty good i think!

IMG_2170.jpg

IMG_2168.jpg

Also I got my Vintage Euro plate from Germany today. LOVE the way it looks, so the meintii tag gets to be in the rear window to keep the popo's happy.

IMG_2219.jpg

ALSO

I got some cheapo adhesive trim from autozone. it looks great! did all the belt line trim, the gutter trim, and the piece between the tail lights.

My best friend Michelle and I decided to take a random spuratic trip down to savannah for a long weekend in the tii. It was awesome, the best three day weekend ive had in a long time.

I left my camera at home :(, but Michelle had her 35mm with black and white film.

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
