eBay forwarding to personal accounts is not bullet-proof, your messages "may" be sitting in the seller's "my eBay" messages folder ... unbeknownst to him!

If one looked at his terms, they were really tough. He wouldn't ship and wanted cash or bank transfer prior to sale.

My guess is he would have gotten a lot more for the car if it was an easy sale.

He might have may have gotten your questions and decided that the car was so valuable that he didn't need to waste his time. Or he was possibly looking to value the car on the low side due to some sort of dispute - divorce etc...

If he was truly serious, he would have monitored the correspondence.
