Removing surface rust from headers?

What about with an angle grinder and metal grinding disk?

I did this for a big spot of rust that I had under a rear bumper and If you are VERY careful id think it could work

I've seen electrolysis work well too.

Wonder if the old "throw it in a bucket of Coke" works with larger pieces like it does with nuts and bolts and the odd chrome piece.
