engine and drivetrain Request Jetting prescription for 38 DGMS Carb.

CD 02 MD.., or anyone Could you give me an excellent jetting prescription for a 38/38 dgms manual choke version carb for a 2002 engine with some rod lightening, and balancing. Engine has 284 schrick and 9.0/9.5:1? compression tii pistons w/121 head w/some porting, and windage tray oil pan. Apx 670 ft above sea level. During the dyno time I Will be using two types of headers Stahl, alpina, and tii exhaust manifold which will be used in the final install. After the study, and fluid leak checks I may be inclined to utilize headers. Thanks in advance.

David's jetting is close to what I was running.

You may find that bigger transition (idle) jets help getting the

mixture rich enough at low throttle openings.

I think I went as high as 60 or 65 with a smaller (135) main jet.

And smaller air correctors (as small as 140, iirc)

But if you have dyno time, take a range of jets. Getting the

mains right is easy on this carb- it's the 'cruise at 70' range that's harder.

The thing flows too much air too easily to get a good

vacuum signal at our freeway speeds...
