Buy this fuel pump?

If I'm going the mechanical fuel pump route for my DCOE Weber 45s, is this a good one to get?

200 bones is kinda steep - almost twice that of an electric pump, right?

Are there better deals on a reliable mechanical out there?

I'm sure there are better deals out there, but most are still fairly high. They say a stock mechanical pump is OK for 40s, but would it be for 45s?

I'm thinkin somebody suggested a 5-series pump that would work and pump better volume.

It's around $60 for a Carter self-regulated rotary electric pump.

Yeah its kinda loud, tho.... but it gives me peace of mind when it comes to fuel supply...

AutohausAZ is a good place for parts, but in this case that part is cheaper at the Dealer!

BMWNA has $115.62 current list price for that 13311265192 pump, easy to find a Dealer to discount it to under $100.

There were several mechanical pumps, I don't know the fitment details to say which won't work, but I'd look into the one that came on the 2002ti and the TISA: 13 31 1252 506

That 02ti / TISA pump cost an extra $40 or $50, so probably wise to see if anyone has experience with it. I'm just curious about it because BMW saw fit to apply it to the "sporty" sidedraft carb models.

Of course the original poster asked about the Bavaria pump, so maybe he's figured out it will work. Like to know more about the delivery volume on all these options, even though for the most part I'm stuck with electric pumps.

I'm looking at this fuel pump mostly based off of what I've heard from people before. Opinion seems to be that the Bavaria fuel pump works well for set ups like mine because its a bit stronger.

The ti pump was my first idea too. I never actually thought to ask why the Bavaria pump is considered better.

Yeah it'd be really nice if you can afford it... it'd be way cheaper if you could find one in a junkyard, but thats not gonna be easy...

The #13 31 1 260 677 pump has a higher output for 45's, Search for fuel pump for E9's and you will find cheaper than $200.
