I’m trying to sell my non-operationally 1976 BMW 2002. What I want to know is how can I create a great listing for my vehicle? You can see what I have now, here.

http://www.bmw2002faq.com/component/option,com_forum/Itemid,57/page,viewtopic/t,314791/highlight,/

Is there any other specific facts; descriptions, pictures, or websites that I could add to my listing to make it more appealing. I would rather not use ebay but may end up doing so. I would also like to hear your own experiences and things you would differently. Thanks in advance your time.

I bought my 2002s off craigslist, if you haven't already listed it there its free and easy. I'd also say (from a buyers perspective) that it would be totally work a new battery/charging the battery to make it operational, but still disclosing the leak issues. A car you can't start is a much bigger risk than one that runs but needs a few gaskets.

Just my .02, looks like a nice car. Too bad CARB screwed all the '76 cars, out of state is probably where you'll get the most $$ for your effort.

People think your hiding something when you want to sell a car and the holdup is a cheap battery. Get a cheap battery. without it the price drops drastically.

As far as selling it this is what I do when I want to sell something. I remix a vid with Adobe.

Everybody like videos. Here is a sample of one I did this summer. Had way more replies than I could handle. Be honest. It sold to the first one that looked at it.

Click on the pic.

Good luck on the sale.

take the first $500 cash offer and be happy .

Walk away from it.

Exterior: Paint is in decent shape, shows bright red. The

car was painted at Earl Scheib so in a few locations it

shows some imperfections from previous paint job.

"PAINT IS NOT IN DECENT SHAPE" - STATE THE

TRUTH AND NOT YOUR OPINION FIRST - ONLY STATE

FACTS AS THEY EXIST NOW

Interior: None, taken out for future build but did not

happen. Back seat was re-padded and needs no work.

Rust on floor boards. BUYERS DON'T NEED TO HEAR

ABOUT YOUR FAILINGS - THEY CAN SEE IT IN A PHOTO

Engine: Does not run, dead battery. When running

there was a small coolant leak from radiator hose,

small leak from automatic transmission.

O.K. THAT SAYS OWNER COULDN'T EVEN PUT A

BATTERY IN IT - WHAT OTHER MINOR REPAIRS NEVER

GOT ATTENTED TO? CRACKED CYLINDER HEAD?, NEEDS

WATERPUMP, THERMOSTAT, RADIATOR, ALL COLLENT

HOSES, AUTOMATIC TRANS DAMAGED FROM COOLENT

ENTERING TRANS OIL COOLER SYSTEM ?

Trunk: Solid mounts no rust, some rust on trunk floor,

see pictures

RUST OR NO-RUST ? PHOTOS? HELLO ??

Brakes: All pads & rotors were replaced at Midas before

I let the car sit.

DO BRAKE WORK NOW? COULD BUYER DRIVE HOME

SAFELY? WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE MIDAS BRAKE JOB?

DO WE ALL SUSPECT THE MIDAS BRAKE JOB TO BE

SUB-PAR WITH BMW QUALITY?

Asking: $1500 or Best Offer.

GLADLY TAKE THE FIRST $500 OFFER AND BE HAPPY.

OR SPEND SOME TIME CLEANING UP THE INTERIOR,

REMOVE DAMAGED PARTS, PUT USABLE SEATS AT

LEAST IN THE FRONT, DON'T LEAVE GARBAGE IN

PHOTOS THE CAR HAS POTENTIAL - BUT YOUR PRESENT

PRESENTATION MAKES PEOPLE ANGRY FOR YOUR LACK

OF CARE FOR A GREAT MACHINE.

IT DOESN'T RUN, NO PLACE TO SIT, IF IT WERE

STARTED?-DO I DO MORE DAMGE TO THE MOTOR AND

AUTO TRANS, WILL IT STOP IF I HAVE TO MAKE A

PANIC STOP?

DO HAVE A HAPPY HOLIDAY
