Howdy Tango Juliet Winston.... Good to hear from you! I'm just bored and sick of seeing the political crap and post about how to get more HP from a shitty rusty 2002 when I click the unread posts link. I've worked for Uncle Sam for 15 years and get enough of the politico babble at work....

Did you ever build a set of coilovers with those struts I sent ya? I just welded up some for the hell of it but I have yet to do anything with them as I've been working my ass of on my e39 and my e34.

ground them down and cut them, bought the inserts and made spacers, bought springs, sleeves & perches but have not yet welded them up.

Need to get down to ToddK's place or buy a welder - been working my a$$ off... had an e21 for a little bit till Megan promised that if I stopped bringing BMWs home I could buy whatever I want when the Accord's lease is up and spend time & $$$ on the 2002

I got so sick of the OT that I'm putting in my $0.02 over there now too!

Intercooler in your plans? Hope your radiator is up to the task.

Where'd you find the KKK unit?

ps: I also hate all the politikin' posted here. Where's all the newbie questions about carbs, KF systems and shifter bushings? It's no wonder all the seasoned veterans are staying away.

Hello Jim,

I was having a few drinks after a long day of work....

The turbo is from a Euro 745i and is about as heavy as a york ac compressor. I think my tii would disown me if I even tried it.

My tii is plenty fast for me even though I do have a stroker for it sitting in the basement as well as a completely rebuilt stock motor sitting on a stand next to my car. Now if I could just find the time to install one of the damn things....

KC

Oh yeah, and fix my bent up bumpers!

BMW Neue Klasse - a birth of a Sports Sedan

Unveiling of the Neue Klasse Unveiled in 1961, BMW 1500 sedan was a revolutionary concept at the outset of the '60s. No tail fins or chrome fountains. Instead, what you got was understated and elegant, in a modern sense, exciting to drive as nearly any sports car, and yet still comfortable for four.   The elegant little sedan was an instant sensation. In the 1500, BMW not only found the long-term solution to its dire business straits but, more importantly, created an entirely new

History of the BMW 2002 and the 02 Series

In 1966, BMW was practically unknown in the US unless you were a touring motorcycle enthusiast or had seen an Isetta given away on a quiz show.  BMW’s sales in the US that year were just 1253 cars.  Then BMW 1600-2 came to America’s shores, tripling US sales to 4564 the following year, boosted by favorable articles in the Buff Books. Car and Driver called it “the best $2500 sedan anywhere.”  Road & Track’s road test was equally enthusiastic.  Then, BMW took a cue from American manufacturers,

    The BMW 2002 Production Run

BMW 02 series are like the original Volkswagen Beetles in one way (besides both being German classic cars)—throughout their long production, they all essentially look alike—at least to the uninitiated:  small, boxy, rear-wheel drive, two-door sedan.  Aficionados know better.   Not only were there three other body styles—none, unfortunately, exported to the US—but there were some significant visual and mechanical changes over their eleven-year production run.   I’ve extracted t
