i looked around the search, but i need to know some details. if anyone has done the M20 swap with the tranny included please email me at.

i want to know about clearances, butterfly of the tunnel, cutting, welding. that sort of thing. once we email, then we can do some phone stuff. thanks.

What tranny do you have (or plan to buy)?

Are you asking if it will fit? If so, stick around, you've got some reading to do.

But if you run a 240 trans from a e30 318is (m42 engine) you don't need to mod the tunnel at all. Other then hammering out some space for the slave cylinder.

I am not sure if the 240 will sit stright up and down when connected to the m20 tho. Maybe someone else can chime in and answer that.

You would also need to run an electric speedo (which is no big deal)

I love my electric speedo...it is actually correct, all the time.
