engine and drivetrain M2 tranny Q

For those of you M2 folks using the e30 M3 transmission, what driveshaft did you use? Nick Vyse tells me that with the euro dogleg box he can use the stock M3 driveshaft without any shortening. Has anyone else done this, or can anyone tell me if the US overdrive box is the same length as the euro dogleg close-ratio box?

One thing- the guibo is larger and I am pretty sure that it is the same size as the 2002 auto driveshaft so you could use that as a flange donor if you needed it.

I have the overdrive 265 in mine. I used to have a 245 5 speed, and the drive shaft from that wasn't suitable for the 265.

I am fairly certain the OD and CR 265s are the same length. If you read some posts on s14.net, there is never any mention of having to swap the driveshafts when upgrading to a CR tranny.

Im using the 265 OD tranny and will let you know in about a month, if the M3 driveshaft works unaltered. It better otherwise Im going to pay Nick a little visit...

i'am useing the drive shaft out of and 02 automatic the m3 trany and a 02 automatic are the same i think 230 mm long . the tranys not the driveshaft
