Installing new clutch slave cylinder.

Two clips hold it in place so it don't slide in and out, but what holds in from spinning in it's cylinder?

The attached shows some sort of "support plate" - what is this "support plate"? The picture doesn't really show me with any detail.

Is there a part number for it? I don't see a "support plate" on Real OEM.

I'm trying to figure out what keeps the thing from being able to turn in the housing.

Thanks,

Len

Two clips hold it in place so it don't slide in and out, but what holds in from spinning in it's cylinder? = THE HARD FLUID LINE KEEPS IT FROM SPINNING - THEN RUST TAKES OVER IF YOU DON'T SLATHER IT UP GOOD WITH ANTI-SEIZE DURING INSTALLATION

AND THERE IS A TAB ON THE SHEET METAL PLATE (mouse sheild)

THAT HELPS LOCATE - but the pipe locates it and it should be free to

wiggle a tad with the 2-circlips in place. Clean out the trans hole of all corrosion and rust.

There are two circlips, one on each side #07 11 9 934 186 and the support plate #21 52 1 104 269 that has a tab that fits into the flywheel protection plate "Cover Plate" #21 11 0 670 050. So, the coverplate is what keeps the clutch slave from spinning round and round, not just the hose.

Yes use liberal ammounts of antisieze to keep the clutch slave and he trans from becoming one piece.
