I don't have a blog yet for two main reasons. 1. I'm not good nor do I have the patience to document as I go. This is a 5+ year project and I'm in the un-eventful first 2 years so far. 2. Also, the project is so complex and goes in different directions. Its on the order of Paul Cain's car, but not street legal. Its starting to pick up again, so I'll eventually post something in that section and then try to keep it updated.

WOW!

Where did you learn your craft!?!

Todd

Thanks for the praise! I have worked in resto shops for 15 years or so, both working for people and myself. The two shops I worked at while in college were Porsche/Ferrari/Jag shops mostly. These shops were great because I learned from talented folks and the jobs we did had enough budget to really do things correctly.

WIth regard to the metal fab to make the flares, I am mostly self taught. Its kind of wierd to explain but with anything like this, there is only so much instruction/explanation you can get. You just have to start hammering metal and watch it move, its very plastic.

Anyone interested in metal fab should check out metalmeet.com. There are a lot of great folks there who are willing to share their knowledge.

I have posted this before but this link shows true craftsmanship:
