Woo! Progress! :-P

Great Kris - The headliner install looks very clean. Good luck with the rear quarter windows (give the forum a search before you try installing the seal for tips, etc.) - it was a frustrating job for me.

Its gonna be one sweet car when your done mate!

A few updates...

-car is a week away from clearing the interior shop - carpet is in, all windows, seals etc. (except one rear vent which they have broken/lost twice).

-rear 635 seats have been test fitted and now need to be dyed. I think they need to be cut a little more on the back to get a tight fit as they seem to be sitting about 2" away now.

It's really looking great and I can start to see the finished product, hopefully I will be driving this summer!

Here are some pics from tonight..most of the trim is on, or on its' way on. Interior is 90%, no motor yet. Front seats are superb and the kids love the 6 series rear buckets.

Next I am cleaning up the engine bay's wiring, trying to figure out how the hell the stainless hard brake lines go on, and going to home depot for stainless hardware.

Sorry the whole car is dusty, the paint really does look amazing when its' clean (I'll be saying that forever with a black car)

Kris, i know what you mean about a black car getting dusty real quick - horrible trying to keep them clean even in the garage isnt it?

Cant wait to see it in full sunlight, finished and clean! Keep up the great work.

The only thing I saved was a piston that looks like it landed on a grenade there is so much detonation on it.

Nice part is the motor drops straight in without issue. Getting the tranny home on the motor is hit or miss. Last time I did this I had my charming wife on the floor jack and it went straight home. Tonight was a different story.

4+ hours to install the E21 5 speed. It is a tight fit to say the least. It took some major "motivation", 2 floor jacks and a little speaking in tongues to get it home. John, think of the worst job on your car and I'm your man!
