any markings on a close ratio 323 dogleg tranny?

i have a guy who thinks he has a close ratio dogleg out of a euro 323 but doesnt know for sure. does anyone know of casting marks or any sure fire way of identifying one>??

I had a euro 323i, but it had the standard od five speed.

Don't know if you solved it yet but he could always put it in gear and spin the tranny. See where the output shaft spins slower - you'll know exactly where first gear is then.

ToddK's got a DL CR box in his race car and it's got the same markings on the castings but an off stamp up on the bellhousing. It's almost like they were piece-mealed together at the factory at times.
