Hi,

well this is a story about a car find in my area.

in the delaware valley news a car is posted for sale as follows,

1972 BMW 2002tii 76k original miles. has been parked for more than

ten years. 4-speed manual trans rebuilt but not driven since. running

when parked...blah,blah,blah...$900 or best offer....

i had not even seen the add and a friend calls and tells me about it.

so i start calling and calling and calling. 5 days later the guy calls

back. the car is gone, the add ran too late so i...

GAVE IT TO THE JUNK MAN!!!!!!!!

i am on fire at this point but i said to the guy do you know who you gave

it to and can you get it back? he said that he would try. wait 1 week.

call back he cant get it. fast forward one week. my friend and business

partner is checking the local yard on a saturday and calls me.

Guess what i have my hand on? well it wasn't what i crudly answered.

he says i have my hand on that car you were looking for. i said yea

where is it? he said i have my hand on it , it is in the yard .

i said go right back in and offer $1000 cash and i will remove it

in 1 hour. back and forth for a while. SOLD

no title, no keys, no problem!!!!!!

call back the guy about the car for the keys 2 more weeks i got them.

three months later, TODAY i got a title from the guy.

now some pictures...

P.S. If you ever run out of room, I am in Warminster and will be happy to drive...errr..umm...store an 02 or two for you.

That's awesome! I missed a '72 sunroof automatic car in near-daily-driver condition for $500 in my brother's town in Mississippi over the holidays. We couldn't figure out where to store it for a few months until I could come and get it. His friend's neighbor traded something for it and now has it for sale so I could get another chance soon.

Make sure you write the events, just incase you restore this car (which I think you should or sell it to a collector for restoring it). You are one luck person, it is just ultra rare to find such a prize...that is all I can say...

Good Luck with it.
