Which way up does rear sunroof seal go?

I've seen the answer to this once before but have forgotten and couldn't find it in a recent search of the archives. For the rear seal, does the thicker portion of the seal with the metal bead face up or down? In other words, like a "P" or a "b" when viewing it as a cross-section?

Shouldn't the rear felt seal be attached to the vertical portion of the moving sunroof panel?
