    .

Worth a try before submitting to the privilege of purchasing from certain FAQers!
  2. Maybe the fact that it is still for sale after 4 months should tell you something.
  3. i think the door matches, to me it looks like the door seals are new and the door is on a different plane because of that when compared to the front fender and quarter panel.

  5. Do we know what cam early e21 head 2 liter e21s came with? Did they get the #5 because of the e21 head, did BMW go back to the #2 cam or something else?
  6. With the salvage title of seemed like a better deal in July.
  7. Hi, I think I've exhausted the local Portland, or market for the various 02 parts that I have for sale. Here's a link to the craigslist ad: http://portland.craigslist.org/mlt/pts/3526901460.html If there's something you would like it is probably best to call. Thanks, -Jason
  8. I disagree that color might be rare now but it was popular then. Siennabraun cars tended to be repainted other colors or they just died the slow death of neglect as that color fell out favor. A color like tundra is rare
  9. Looks like it spent some time in the NW. (2002 Northwest Spring Fest grill badge). -J
  10. I don't believe this is a big bumper/small bumper issue. I had two 72s one had it the other didn't. One was a tii. The two ceylon tiis done by Don Dethlefsen's shop both have those reinforcements. http://www.thewerkshop.net/aboutUs/roundel/0702cover/ -J
  11. Start car pull out key go into house get whatever it was that I forgot.
  12. You should rust proof the inside bottom edge of the door cavity. Use paint, seam sealer or cavity wax. When 02 doors show paint bubbles on the outside it usually starts here.
  13. New points too or do you run a Pertronix? Did you check the timing too? Adjust the valves? It always good to check all the variables within one system before tackling another system (fuel).
  14. Have you tested the odometer? They've been known to fail.
  15. Would you mount it so the sidedraft points toward the booster or to the valve cover?
  16. Somebody with some bodywork skills will be able to fix that nose. It's not like the nose is smashed in, it's just bent up a little. The hood might be more of a challenge but is still probably fixable. It might be more cost effective to have another used hood re-sprayed though. Other than that it's a pretty clean car. With NADA guide saying the value for a 71 is 9k low to an 18k high whomever buys that car has a little bit of room to work.
  17. Last time I requested a sample they had a close match. The other day Maximillian mentioned that SMS will recreate fabrics & patterns too. http://www.smsautofabrics.com/
  18. not an actual image of the wheel so it's hard to say whether or not the finish is period correct.
  19. Now offered on craigslist for a mere $4700. I think the auction price was a little bit more realistic. http://seattle.craigslist.org/skc/cto/1497812483.html show/with/4164107118/'> show/with/4164107118/
