2002 owner's manual "supplement"- NLA??

Recommended Posts

I have a friend who has several NOS 2002 Owner's manual "supplements"- they look like an 8-10 page section of owners manual without the cardboard cover. I didn't get a chance to look at them as much as I would have liked to, but they are the real deal.

Does anyone know if these are rare, NLA, worth anything??

If there's enough interest on this board- I'll either get them from him and offer them up here, or have him do the same.

Thanks, Bret.

INDEED, ALL OF THE OWNER'S MANUAL BOOKLETS HAVE BEEN

MANY YEARS N.L.A.

the 'white' multi page USA Emission Control Supplement

inserts are as rare as any 'paper' -

value? depends if your just a joe selling at a flea market- $ 1- $5

if your a Motor Book seller specializing and buying at higher price ?- then

expect to pay $5 to $20

get the printing date off the back page - important for the correct model year car for accurate information of the emission controls, vacuum routing, tune-up specs, etc.

and what about the thick Owners' manaul ?

for flea market ? = $ 15 - $ 20

for Book Selling Specialist ? = $40 - $70 - of course for PERFECT

unsoiled condition.

one (same size as owners manual) that came with the"second series" 69 2002s that detailed all the differences (3 speed heater blower, don't have to grease the rear axle U joints etc). It also discusses the 1 Jan 69 emission controls that the earlier cars didn't have. Is there a later supplement?

cheers

I have the white supplement for my '73 tii and it seems to be accurate for the year. The print date on the back is 10/'72 and the pics in it appear accurate for the model year. It details some info about the US spec reflector lights and head lights and talks about the emission controls for both the carb engine and fuel injected engine....I have an earlier one like the one you describe as well. I've never seen this supplement for the later square tail cars but I'm sure it exists.
